Mel is our only melanistic bengal. At first glance, she may look like a typical black cat, but she is so much more than that. She is actually a black spotted tabby. Catch her in the right light and you can see her spotted pattern all throughout her coat just like the big black leopards you can see in the zoo. Mel is much like her favorite big sister, Artemis. Those two girls bonded very quickly after Mel came to us and Mel likes to do everything her sissy does. Mel is an incredible Mom who has given us some of our bigger litters despite being the smallest female in our program. She is a trusting, affectionate soul and a blessing to have around.
